Primary sector
The number of farms in the region has fallen as industry and the urban nucleus have spread.
Industry and Building
Apart from the Petronor refinery, industrial activity in the town is mostly limited to small wood and metalworking workshops. The refinery's importance extends far beyond the borders of Muskiz, supplying as it does the whole of the Basque Country.
Services
Because of Muskiz's good communications with the major urban areas in the region, there is little room for specialist retail outlets. |
